A Bit About Yolanda
Yolanda Haley Taylor is an author, photographer, historian, mentor, and community advocate with a passion for preserving history and inspiring future generations. She believes every person has a story worth telling and every community deserves to have its legacy remembered.
As the author of Images 2026, the sequel to Images 2006, Taylor honors outstanding African American men whose leadership, service, and character have made a lasting impact on their families and communities, ensuring their stories endure for generations to come.
Her commitment to preserving history extends beyond writing. As Founder and President of the Heavenly Visions Foundation Youth Photography Program, she mentors young people through photography, encouraging them to document the beauty and history of their communities. She also serves as President of the True Friend Benevolent Association No. 1, where she works to preserve African American heritage through historical preservation, education, and community engagement.
Through her work, Taylor hopes to inspire others to value every person's journey, preserve the past, strengthen their communities, and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
